Examples of other conditions treated at this practice:
. Lymphatic Drainage Therapy: a very light "feathery touch" manual technique which stimulates lymphatic flow towards the heart. The lymphatic system has been neglected for many years by the medical fraternity, but research has gained momentum in the last few years. This system is now regarded as equally important as the blood-vascular system! The Chikly Health Institute is at the forefront of research into and development of treatment techniques for this system.
The lymphatic system is essential in healing and maintaining of a healthy body. It is responsible for storage and distribution of "fighter cells"; it collects and transports germs, toxins, waste products, foreign bodies etc from the interstitial fluid (i.e. outside the cells) through the lymph nodes which act as active purification centres. The nodes break down and destroy these particles.
Lymphatic drainage treatment a) stimulates the immune system b) stimulates fluid circulation c) drains unwanted substances d)stimulate the parasympathetic system which is very important in dealing with stress, depression and sleeping problems e) reduces pain f) reduces muscle spasm
This treatment can be done as a stand-alone treatment, or incorporated with all other treatments at this practice for any condition listed.
